WHEN WE ARE CLOSED
If you require urgent medical assistance which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens please dial 111. Calls to the NHS111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles. You will be asked for some details of your problem. You will then either:
- Have advice given over the telephone
- Be telephoned by the emergency doctor on call
- Be asked to attend for an appointment at the primary care centre at the hospital
- Have an emergency ambulance arranged to take you to hospital.
In the case of need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
